Free performances for Rochester City School children – Every Spring
RCB opened up their usually closed dress rehearsal performance of Peter and the Wolf to more than 600 Rochester City School District children – grades Kindergarten thru 4th grade.  RCB provided this free performance for the children, their teachers and chaperones.

Special performances for special needs children at the Stepping Stones Learning Center – Every December
Rochester City Ballet brought a mini-Nutcracker holiday performance to the Stepping Stones Learning Center in Rochester. The performance was given to 300+ school children each year, including many of the special needs students that attend SSLC, along with their parents and teachers.

Barnes and Noble Bookreading – Each November
Each year, RCB presents it's annual pre-Nutcracker bookreading and lecture/demonstration at Barnes & Noble bookstores. The event features dancers in costumes and a reading of the Nutcracker story.  These events are open to the public and free of charge.
