Abigail Jacobs
Abigail Jacobs was born and raised in Rochester, New York, where she received her formal dance training at the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education. She recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA in Dance and minors in Marketing and Fashion Industry Science and Technology. Over the course of her pre-professional and collegiate training, Abigail had the privilege of studying under renowned choreographers and instructors such as Jamey Leverett, Beth Bartholomew, Hayley Meier, Sarah Lane, Samuel Watson, Masha Maddux, and Christopher Compton. During her time at Draper Center, she had the opportunity to travel to Trujillo, Peru and perform in the International Ballet Festival de Trujillo. She has also attended multiple summer and winter intensives including BalletX, Kaatsbaan Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Nova Linea. As a student of the Draper Center, Abigail has performed with the Rochester City Ballet for 11 consecutive seasons in notable productions such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is thrilled to now join the company she grew up alongside and begin her professional career with the Rochester City Ballet for its 2025/2026 season!
