FAQs

Can I watch my child’s rehearsals?

1

All rehearsals are closed to family, friends, and the general public. The security & supervision of all cast members is our top priority at RCB. Please be assured that we do everything to ensure the safety of our dancers at all rehearsals and performances.

What if my child is injured or sick?

2

In the event of an emergency (illness, injury, etc) during the studio rehearsal period; please alert your Rehearsal Director by sending an email to production@rochestercityballet.org.

Given that there are only 7 rehearsals, we strongly discourage any absences and ask that parents refrain from allowing their child to miss. Only one absence is permitted, and no absences will be allowed from April 20–April 26. If an absence is anticipated, please notify production@rochestercityballet.org.

Please keep your afternoon to early evening schedule open on Sunday, April 19th, as we may add a full-cast rehearsal on that day.

What if my child is absent?

Do you need volunteers?

4

YES! Volunteers are required for the success of the production. There will be many opportunities to sign up. We will send out regular emails with volunteer opportunities and a SignUpGenius for the week that we are in the theatre.

Dancers should arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of their rehearsals. Please make sure your child is properly dressed and has gone to the restroom.

Proper attire:

Girls: Leotard, tights, ballet slippers, hair in a bun

Boys: White t-shirt, black tights, white or black ballet shoes.

Dancers should be picked up promptly at the end of their rehearsal.

Thank you for your participation & cooperation.

When do I arrive for rehearsal?

Can I stay with my child at the theater?

6

RCB staff, volunteers, and performers are the only people allowed past the sign-in security desk. Parents are NOT permitted in the dressing rooms or the theatre at any time unless they have signed up to volunteer. We will send out a SignupGenius for theater week as we get closer to the performances.

Tickets.

Tickets for Cinderella can be purchased here. Specific performance dates and times for each dancer will be confirmed following the first rehearsal.

Terms of Agreement.

All dancers must make a full Cinderella Season commitment; March 7 through April 26th.

All rehearsals are mandatory.
