Important Notes
- All parents must create an account in Dance Studio Pro regardless of payment method (credit card, cash, check, or scholarship).
- The financial scholarship application will be sent shortly. Applications are due by March 15th. You must have an active Dance Studio Pro account to receive a scholarship.
- Dance Studio Pro uses the term "student." Creating this account does not enroll your child in the School of RCB. Cinderella is a community production open to all dancers regardless of studio affiliation.
Theater Week at RIT
Stage rehearsals at the Panara Theatre begin Tuesday, April 21st, taking place in the evenings after school. Exact times and days are TBD. You will receive a theater schedule specific to your dancer's cast and role by the end of March at the latest. We thank you for your patience as this schedule involves over 200 performers and stage crew.
Sensory-Friendly Performance
The Saturday, April 25th at 12:00 PM performance is specially designed for children on the autism spectrum and those with sensory sensitivities, along with their families and caregivers.
Tickets will not be available to the general public, including families of dancers. Reservations are available on our website by visiting the Cinderella page.
FAQs
Can I watch my child's rehearsals?
All rehearsals are closed to family, friends, and the general public. The security and supervision of all cast members is our top priority at RCB. Please be assured that we do everything to ensure the safety of our dancers at all rehearsals and performances.
What if my child is injured or sick?
In the event of an emergency during the studio rehearsal period, please alert your Rehearsal Director by emailing production@rochestercityballet.org.
What if my child is absent?
Given that there are only 7 rehearsals, we strongly discourage any absences. Only one absence is permitted, and no absences will be allowed from April 20–April 26. If an absence is anticipated, please notify production@rochestercityballet.org.
Please keep your afternoon to early evening schedule open on Sunday, April 19th, as we may add a full-cast rehearsal that day.
Do you need volunteers?
Yes! Volunteers are required for the success of the production. There will be many opportunities to sign up. We will send out regular emails with volunteer opportunities and a SignUpGenius for theater week as we get closer to the performances.
Can I stay with my child at the theater?
RCB staff, volunteers, and performers are the only people allowed past the sign-in security desk. Parents are not permitted in the dressing rooms or theatre at any time unless they have signed up to volunteer. A SignUpGenius for theater week will be sent out closer to the performances.
